Passionate for movies and pictues since he was a kid.
He began his career in cinema in 2003, working as a camera assistant on short films and music videos. A few years later, he worked as a camera operator for television productions (Sky, RAI and Mediaset), including Enzo Biagi’s RT – Rotocalco Televisivo, and started to take care of the cinematography of some short documentaries for RAI Educational.
In 2008, he flew to Los Angeles to shoot the feature film “House of Flesh Mannequins” by Domiziano Cristopharo, which won him the Best Cinematography award at the Rome Arts Festival. During his stay in the States, he was responsible for the cinematography of the film “Orgy of the Damned” directed by Creep Creepersin, for which he won the Best Cinematography award at the United International Film Festival in Hollywood.
Back in Italy, he worked on numerous critically acclaimed and internationally awarded short films, such as “Beauty” by Nicola Abbatangelo, “Il Regalo di Alice” by Gabriele Marino, “Dispatch” by Stefano Argenziano , “è solo un nastro che gira” and “Pizza Boy” by Gianluca Zonta. For this last work, he won the Daniele Ciprì Award for Best Cinematography at the Movievalley Festival.
Since 2013, he has been a member of the prestigious AIC (Italian Association of Cinematographic Photography Authors) and IMAGO (European Federation of Directors of Photography).
In 2019 he is director of photography for the feature film “The Land of Dreams” by Nicola Abbatangelo, a costume musical set in 1920s New York, produced by Lotus Production and RAI Cinema.
